trying to watch ndp online. never thought of myself as like patriotic really. after all, i am in the great southland instead of the lil red dot. but today, watching sporeans unite, wishing spore happy birthday from all over the world... for some strange reason, i felt a slight tinge of pride like eh, our people made it so far, to all corners of the world. so despite all our governmt bashing and irritating land overfill and blahblah, maybe we aren't too bad after all. afterall home is still home. ahh. i miss my home. my family.

but perhaps i'm slightly soft now post yfcamp. my cellgrp yf (youth fellowship) had a short 3day camp in the mountain this wkend. tho like not all went, it was no doubt a great time of fellowship and mostly, sitting under the authoritative piercing word of God.

the camps topic was something really close to my heart. it was about Gods guidance. does He lead? if so where does He lead to? and how does He do tat? pertinent questions for the truly lost and seeking. i mean. if you don't think you're lost, why would you need to be guided rite? haha. but infact, all of us were once lost ya. but some of us are now found. with a new identity and purpose in Christ! so we're not drifting aimlessly through life. but where are we going?

in gist, the 3 talks could be summarised as. 1st. God is ABLE and WILLING to lead us. 2nd. His ultimate aim is for us to be HOLY and CHRIST/JESUS-LIKE. 3rd. He could guide us in many different ways if he so chose but he only promised one way in the bible. which is thru Jesus (heb1).

so directly, if he means for us to be like Jesus ultimately, how then ought we to make our decisions, be it big or small? well. firstly, to make it on the basis of holiness & godliness--- would the consequence of the decision make you more or less holy. will it put u in a situation where you might be tempted to sin or stray? then. once you eliminate the bad choices, consider the right ones with wisdom, asking God if you're lacking (james1) and then lastly, know that He's given us the freedom to choose. and be joyful and confident in the decision making, knowing that He is sovereign and no matter wat will be able to make all things work out for them who love Him and are called according to His purpose! :)

what a relief to know that. what great assurance in Jesus.
